The area of site for motor vehicle noise test is 50 m×40 m in line with the requirements of international standard ISO 10844-2011, European regulations and U.S. EPA test requirements. The reflection area around the test site has a 100 m diameter, without high reflective objects, which can meet the requirements of acoustic field for measuring and pavement.

      The technical specifications for motor vehicle noise test site include road roughness, slope, noise absorption coefficient, road contour depth, average structural depth and porosity in accordance with the technical requirements of ISO 10844-2011. The road has the advantages of consistent sound reflection, minimum vehicle noise energy absorption, and pavement uniformity.

The motor vehicle noise test site is currently applicable to the tests including motor vehicle tire rolling noise test conforming to the requirements of ECE R117, motorcycles and moped acceleration noise test in line with the requirements of GB 16169-2005, ECE R41, ECE R9, ECE R63, 40 CFR part 205 subpart D, E and CMVSS 1106, all-terrain vehicles acceleration noise test in accordance with the requirements of GB 24929-2010, motorcycle and moped stationary noise test in line with the requirements of GB 4569-2005, motor vehicle horn performance test and motorcycle horn sound level test in accordance with the requirements of GB 15742-2001 and GB 7258-2012.
